The Central library established in 2004 and relocated to its present premises, a separate building of 24000Sq.ft., is a centre of information and learning that provides latest information in the form of books, journal, audio-visual and e-resources related to medical and health sciences, and is staffed by courteous and competent professionals.
Services are offered through a fully automated, air- conditioned system with internet connectivity to access the online services such as online database, e-books, e-journals etc. It is a dynamic Learning Resource Center which caters to all the intellectual needs of its users that include members of different faculties in the various disciplines, students, staff and other allied health science professionals.
To provide a better learning environment to the users the Library is maintaining/developing a variety of learning resources like Books, Journals, Audio visual materials, Online Database, Periodicals, Theses, E-Books & E-Journals. There is a separate Digital Library too and sections for Students, Staff, P.Gs. Residents, Journals and is covered by surveillance cameras. There are enough book shelves and reading space with comfortable chairs and provision for drinking water and toilets. Procedures are laid down for procuring latest editions of books and journals and subscription for journals, both printed electronic ones.
